Tonight had some good base defense teaching as we update the bold defense, post battle engine update and incorporating some strike team officers into the fray. Then Bubba Joe gets his Christmas gift from DJz, the community gets their final gift from BekLikesPlants, and somehow the talk about the arc, events, loot and the calendar turns into everything that is continually wrong with the advanced stages of the game. But Event store loot WILL win out and make this month the new reigning champion. How much? The answer lies within.

Assaults are back.... but, there are a few changes this time, including a self-help version of mechanics to assist players who MAY experience technical difficulties during this run of assaults. Plus we talk about how ALB's actually work. How can you MAKE sure your alliance gets paid, even with a 0 score? BekLikesPlants gives the community 3 final holiday gifts, and lastly we discuss the event store, some highlight items in it, and the mechanic of 'flash sales.'

Tonight's show was one full of topics ranging from the WIDE variety of issues stemming from Assaults from design issues, to technical failures and why DJz deems this the official worst feature of the year. However, there is some information on crewing, strategic placement of the ASB for defensive posture, and PvP ramifications that are also discussed. Then we get to hear a Christmas gift from CM BekLikesPlants as well as turn to happier tidings with regards to event store loot. Tonight we broadcast live from the highway as DJz is traveling, but still comes to hang out and discuss the weeks happenings. New SLB brackets surprised and shocked the community but are they as bad as the initial reaction? Well maybe, but what has no "maybe" to it was how the SMS was designed and implemented. the first segment today is relatively positive pointing out and highlighting some of the changes that were made and not put into the patch notes, and other improvements and fixes that DID ultimately come, though they didn't claim them. There's some good stuff here on Mantis space as well as Espionage. But segment 2 takes a turn down a dark path as we begin talking about Assaults and what it will mean to the game. Tonight we had a spirited debate on the 'etiquette' of accepting gifts as well as a ray of hope from CM BekLikesPlants regarding the remainder of the 4 day Anniversary Series. What would have been a more well rounded appreciated anniversary gift? Well, the player base SEEMED divided on this tonight as we break down what COULD have come, and what may still yet. 
THEN we break into the USS Defiant as it's introductory arc comes to a close and discuss how impactful it was for players at various ops levels. And finally we look at Weyoun sourcing and find out how close some players came. Is this ultimately worse or better for all parties involved? We'll look at some analytics and see if this model is likely to return.
